Jim Gore

A Vietnam Veteran, Jim Gore proudly served in the United States Army as a Combat Medic with the 173rd Airborne Brigade receiving the distinguished Purple Heart. He served along with his brother, Robert Gore and his father, Herbert Gore. The Gore family comes from a long line of dedicated patriots serving in Vietnam, World War II and the Korean War. While serving his country, Jim developed friendships that have lasted a lifetime, seeing most of his fellow Veterans at their annual Airborne reunions.

Jim has spent over 50 years in the construction materials industry. He currently serves as land-use permitting manager with Vulcan Materials Company. He transitioned into land-use permitting department 40 years ago and has never looked back, enjoying the different and unique challenges that every new project brings and working closely with lead agencies to resolve them.

Jim served the CORONA Chamber Board of Directors for nine years. He has continually represented the organization in the Legislative Summits at Sacramento and Washington, D.C. Lobbying for businesses and veterans; Jim understands the importance of legislative involvement.

Jim is the Chairman of the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee which he has been dedicated to for the past 10 years. He’s entrusted in leading the Support Committee through fundraising, community outreach, new monuments at the cemetery and assisting the cemetery with obtaining funding for items not covered by the U.S. Government.

Jim actually met his wife, Shelly, at the cemetery and they’ve been married 10 years. As proud patriots they continually support West Coast Thunder, the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Operation Community Cares, Amber Waves of Grain, and the local VFW.
